Therapeutic Services
Educational Background:
I was born and raised in Rhode Island and graduated from many outstanding local schools. My High School Diploma was received from Cranston High School West in 2015. As a senior in high school, I was apart of the Community College of Rhode Island Running Start Program, achieving my Associate’s Degree a year later. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The University of Rhode Island and received a Master of Arts in Forensic Mental Health Counseling degree at Roger Williams University in 2020.
Training & Experience:
I have had the pleasure to train and work in diverse settings alongside brilliant professionals across New England. Through my experience I have gained profound knowledge and achieved proficiency in conducting diagnostic and level of care assessments, providing evidence-based therapy, creating treatment plans, and collaborating with families, primary care physicians, and other medical providers when appropriate; the essentials for a psychotherapist. I am recognized as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor by the Rhode Island Department of Health (NPI# 1336950609).
Therapeutic Modalities:
I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address symptoms of anxiety, anger, depression, phobias, ADHD, and trauma. However, I have a more “integrative” therapeutic approach, meaning I may utilize skills from various evidence-based modalities to best fit patient needs, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am currently working towards certification in DBT.
Outside the Clinical Role:
When not in the office, I enjoy being an active community member, frequently attending human-rights advocacy and mental health awareness events. I am a Youth Personal Assistance Services and Supports (PASS) worker through Perspectives Corporation, an agency that provides support to individuals with disabilities across Rhode Island.
